FRANCISCO ALARCÓN

by

Américo Martin

Francisco Alarcon raises a glass wall facing the external landscape, but especially against humanity. It does to stop time and defeat the harbingers of death, but because their relationship with others is often not natural or easy. Before he despises, that relationship has no diplomatic cottons and takes the form of a fabric dermatoso. Given the innocent and the whole people, is of extreme generosity, as if the event was light could escape. As a true poet, Francisco does not make concessions, is given in full.
Américo Castro called "centaur" Castilian temperament to articulate perfectly the objective existence to the immediate fact of being there.
None as Spanish has linked these two objectivities as Castro defined as fundamentalism, ie centaurismo.
The author of the extraordinary Spain in its history, says that few people are turning so fully in what they do. Hence the Spanish fury when it comes to defending the honor, religion, territory or the football team.
The Spanish integrates the illusion of impossible causes.
According to Castro:
The Hispanic history is the strugglebetween individual and mass between attemptedreason and the dissolution of reason ... among therational culture and primitive spontaneity, between the rule and anarchy. CivilizationHispanic-live-walled lived insuch dilemmas
By joining these ends, Castro spoke of fundamentalism or Hispanic centaurismo. The centaur is half human half animal. It's no reason to reason together.
The symbol of integration, tip over mind and body.
Some Venezuelans fit into this definition. Among the poets who are doing life in what they write is Francisco Alarcón.
Death and the temptation to befriend her floating in his work.
The grievances of life are written in blood on his works, with no trace of artifice, forced metaphors or metonymies.
Alarcón's poetry does not sink.
Human animals want to be recognized. Alarcon also, but it was the survival instinct which so desperately dragged and drop to poetry.
Seem that conventional phrase, but in truth were writing and a gentle sense of humor pulleys that lifted him from the well where he was buried.
In my preface to his book Second Air, the boss:

 temper saves this lonely Venezuelan
of personal misfortune, whose misfortune itend would have led to disaster if it hadfound in poetry and in springfleeting sense of superiority humor, the second air suppliesWe have returned to assume his destiny
I speak of a latent humor, soft, without violence, something vanished in his recent works, because the expressive power of Francisco has gained momentum and a density such that exclude.
In the first stage of his poetic making gave us several delicacies. In To a Spanish girl, Unfaithful Married parody, take the gypsy chacota fooled by the beautiful malmaridada:

I poured through sheer trick,
I acted like who I am,
like a gypsy poet.
I gave her a book of poems
and light wine of a peseta
And I did not fall in love
because írseme, loose,
language told me castiza
I did not use and either the zeta

Not being fond of Cantos, he used one to slide the kind nature, his new stage:

- Song of Nature, bountiful, cold, hot

with its crystal clear water freshenamel-lined green aurorascontrast with the ocher of the landI like it, because it was plantedour spoils.

Later as Virgil leads Dante's Inferno human relations until death sky. From Nature to the Grim Reaper, culminating phase of the poem.

By disregard for life of freedom is of the scythe:

Song to death, admire the

feel it, smell it every minute,I hide it or not lock myself, living with mefor some timeblessing in life wanting to take allfullI admire death always walks alone is faithfulcompanion, eternal and imperishableAs for Quevedo has overcaress penalty

Francisco praises the emissary of the underworld. He is carried to the outcome. Without being an atheist requires testimony, perhaps miracles. Your God instills fear:

I am the God that does not scare

Lope de Vega knew only love or hate. Perhaps a phrase of circumstance for the Phoenix but not Alarcón. Accept or reject reality and when pressed, full of anxiety, bounces God

At this time the fate of the man

wanders aimlessly(..........)Where are you hiding?, Gives the face!
(.........)With your infinite goodnesswith responsibility and wisdom pagantell me why do you hide the man who hascreated?

His poetic maturity, has finally returned on itself. Could introital probity appropriate to the great Singing Walt Whitman:

This is not a book. Whoever touches a man is touching.
